Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the correlation between the General Weighted Average (GWA) of College of Education (CED) graduates and their Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) performance from academic year 2018 to 2023. The study employs the descriptive-correlational method of research to gain insight into the participants' GWA and LEPT performance. A total of 377 BEED and BSED students were monitored. The overall results show varying degrees of negative correlation between the GWA of students and the LEPT ratings over the years, with the most significant negative correlation occurring in 2021. The data indicates that NEU's BEED graduates consistently surpass the national average in passing percentages, reflecting strong performance and a higher level of preparedness and support at NEU. The findings of this study may provide insights that contribute to achieving CED's goal of a 100% LEPT passing rate and support the development of globally competitive teacher education graduates.
